The Inspiration:
The "Empire Ranch Blend" is deeply rooted in personal history and heritage. Named in honor of the Empire Angus Ranch, the farm where I grew up, this blend is a tribute to the land, hard work, and family traditions that shaped my upbringing. Located in the small town of Canby, Oregon, nestled between Portland and Salem, the Empire Angus Ranch was more than just a farm; it was a way of life.
 
The Ranch:
Empire Angus Ranch, as my father proudly called it, was a modest farm that reflected the agricultural lifestyle of Canby. Situated right off the Willamette River, Canby was known as the "Garden City" of Oregon, a place where nearly every family had a connection to farming. Whether they owned a farm, worked on one, or lived next to one, the community was deeply intertwined with agriculture. Our farm was no different, bustling with cattle, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, a big garden, and a fruit orchard.
 
The Family and Motorcycles:
While our farm was primarily about agriculture, motorcycles were an integral part of our family history. My father, in his late teens and early twenties, was an avid motorcycle rider, a passion he shared with his younger brother, my Uncle Mark, who was a desert racer. Although my father eventually stopped riding motorcycles by the time I was a kid, he recognized the same enthusiasm in me. Encouraged by his own experiences and seeing my excitement, he did everything he could to ensure I had the opportunity to ride dirt bikes.
 
Growing up on the farm, my father supported my passion for motorcycles by providing me with dirt bikes and encouraging me to ride with my friends. His encouragement and support allowed me to experience the thrill of motorcycle riding, much like he did in his youth.
